User Roles are the access control of the system, as it controls which information the different users can see and edit.
Add/edit roles
To add a new role press the green «Add New Role» button.
To edit an existing role press «Edit» under the «Action» menu.
Firstly the role must have a unique «Role Title«. Then there are 16 different access levels a role can have (you can mix and match to create the specific role you want):
«Viewer» – This is the same as activating all the viewers below, except Hardware Viewer. It can view Media, Templates, Messages, Playlists, and Schedules.
«Media Manager» – Can upload and edit media content.
«Template Manager» – Can create and edit templates.
«Message Manager» – Can create and edit messages.
«List Editor» – Can create and edit playlists.
«Hardware Manager» – Can add and edit devices/screens, as well as device groups.
«Company Administrator» – Has full access to the system, including roles, users, and departments.
«Schedule Manager» – Can create and edit channels, frames, and schedules.
«Media Viewer» – Can view the media content that has been uploaded.
«Template Viewer» – Can view the templates.
«Message Viewer» – Can view the messages.
«List Viewer» – Can view the playlists.
«Schedule Viewer» – Can view the channels, frames, and schedules.
«Hardware Viewer» – Can view the devices/screens, as well as device groups.
«infoQ User» – [Locked, as infoQ is still in the development stage] Has access to the mobile phone version of iQ.
«SeeQ User» – [Locked, as SeeQ is still in the development stage] Has access to the brand new SeeQ system.
